REGISTRATION 

  • Registration is available online only.
    • Registration deadline: Wednesday, February 12 at noon
  • Confirmation/invoice/receipt emails go out within 5 business days after registration.
  • Note: Payment is due prior to the seminar. Membership belongs to the individual, not the organization, and is not transferable. One person per registration; no sharing; no prorating of attendance.
  • Social Guests are 21+ years of age and they will only attend the Welcome Reception and/or the Annual Fiesta.

CANCELLATION & SUBSTITUTION POLICY

  • If you cannot attend we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute, a $25 processing fee is withheld from your refund when written cancellation is received by February 3.
  • No refunds will be honored after February 3.

 

IN-PERSON APP & VIRTUAL SEMINAR PLATFORM

  • Registration is required to access the virtual space and the conference app.
  • The email address provided during registration is used for your log-in access.
  • GTOT is using EventMobi (available for Android, Apple, and via url):
    • The app opens February 18.
    • All conference information and presentation materials are available through EventMobi effective February 18.
    • Mobile App event code: GTOTWS2025
    • If you used EventMobi in the past, with the email address provided on your registration, your password is the same as the last time. If you've forgotten since then please use the reset password function.
      • You may need to delete the old app from your phone and re-install using the event code: GTOTWS2025
    • If your email is new to the EventMobi platform, the system requires a password creation when you launch the link for the first time.

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION

  • All sessions qualify for PFIA, CPE, CGFO, and TASBO CEU credits
    • All sessions are presented in-person and transmitted virtually through EventMobi.
  • 14 total hours available (6 hr. Monday, 6 hr. Tuesday, 2 hr. Wednesday)
  • There are no prerequisites for any session.
  • GTOT is registered with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy as a CPE sponsor (004662). This registration does not constitute an endorsement by the Board as to the quality of our CPE program.

 

CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE

  • Certificates are emailed based on the following criteria:
  • In-Person:
    • Attendees complete the In-Person Attendance Verification Form, certificates are created based on this submission
      • Deadline: Friday, February 28, 5:00 pm
  • Virtual:
    • Each session issues a passphrase. Participants complete a Virtual Attendance Verification Form when they are done attending Winter Seminar using the associated passphrases. Credit is not issued if passphrases are missing.
      • Participants are encouraged to write the phrases down and save them in a separate location until you receive your certificate.
      • Deadline: Friday, February 28, 5:00 pm

 

PUBLIC FUNDS INVESTMENT ACT

  • The Texas Public Funds Investment Act requires Treasurers, Chief Financial Officers, and Investment Officers of local governments, including all political subdivisions except certain water districts, to receive 10 hours of training within the first 12 months after assuming duties and every 2 years thereafter; based on their entity’s fiscal year.
  • For state agencies and institutions of higher education, Investment Officers are required to attend 1 training session within 6 months of assuming duties and every 2 years thereafter; based on the state biennium.
