Initial Training
10 hours within first 12 months in position
Renewal Training

8 hours, based on Entity’s fiscal year
Exceptions
No investments outside of Interest Bearing Accounts and local CDs. Exempt from renewal training at the discretion of the Entity and the local auditor.

Only investing in Interest Bearing Deposit Accts and local CDs - Exempt from renewal training (8 hours) initial training is still required (10 hours) (If you are using Pools, you are not exempt.)
District annually submits to the Texas Education Agency a sworn affidavit identifying the applicable criteria that apply to the district.
